Tiffany V. Chatman is a native Houstonian who currently resides in Bakersfield, CA. Her career in the O&G industry began in 2012 as a wireline engineer intern with a servicing company. Ever since then, she has continued to excel and be promoted at various entities. Her desire to pursue a career in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) related field began in the 6th grade when her math and reading teachers sponsored her to attend a Women in Engineering camp at UT Austin. It was that moment in time that turned a star basketball player to focus on her education and pursue engineering.
Now in her early 30s, Tiffany strongly believes more athletes should reach new educational heights and seek to be a smart athlete. She desires to show more student athletes how to ball with their brains. To this day, Tiffany regularly plays basketball, hikes, work out, and continues to build a strong and healthy body through restorative art movements. Although her strong desire to become the first woman in the NBA never came to fruition, she does not regret taking the path less traveled. Her journey involves overcoming many collegiate setbacks, overcoming a life altering injury, moving away from loving family and friends, and learning how to handle life beyond her parent's educational knowledge. So far the reward has been great, but greatness came with several sacrifices.
